diya nearly fell out of her chair with happiness when she saw the mail.she had developed this annoying habit of checking her mails every 10 minutes to see if she had gotten a mail from sid. she was on the verge of giving up hopes when she got the most expected mail ever. his reason for a late reply - holiday in the bahamas. and thus started a volley of mails between sid and diya. they slowly started off mailing each other every 2 days. it reduced to everyday and 1000s of mails in one single day.
sid : can i have your phone number?
diya: what if i dont give you? :P
sid : ill get it anyway. :)

diya couldnt stop falling for sid. but wait - there was only one problem. diya had never seen sid, though he had seen her.poor sid never had the chance to talk to her as she was always surrounded by over-enthusiastic teen guys her age! (diya was a lil popular you see and she also had a pathetic observation skill)

days rolled into weeks and weeks rolled into months and they had spoken nineteen to the dozen about everything. sid was still madly in love with diya. diya felt she knew sid for ages!such was the understanding they shared. the chemistry. diya confided in her friend-swapna, before she told sid.

she mailed up sid. "sid! i think am falling for you". thats when the two began their journey as a couple. sid immediately rushed to the nearby phone booth and called up diya.

sid: you sure?
diya: yeah.
sid: will you tell me those three magical words?
diya: (blushes) you know it, dont you?
sid: please???
diya: I LOVE YOU. now you tell me
sid: me? errrmmm.. i dont have the guts babe.
diya: what? you ass! you have the guts to blog in public but not tell me i love you over the phone?
sid: ok ok chill my baby. i love you............................

telephone calls never stopped at the vasisht's and krishnan's house after that for a long time.

date: august 2010

the ringing phone woke diya up. it was sid.
sid: have you decided?
diya: need time.
sid: #$#%$%!%#%^#%$#$%
diya: will you stop hurting me? #$#@%% i HATE you.
(cuts the call and ignores his further calls)

diya kept pondering about how her sid could even talk and think so low about her. the same lips that said i love you once, now talks cheap about her. the same eyes that melted when it saw her, now wreaths sarcasm. the same heart that once beat for her, now despises her. the same guy who hugged her saying she was the best, not boasts about HIS success and her failure.it killed diya to even think of sid. tired, she dragged herself to college where she was pursuing masters in the USA.

date: january 2004

sid: i need to see you diya.
diya: me too. very badly. how about you coming to chennai for the holidays. ill go to bombay for my holidays. ill come back soon and we can meet.
sid: which train are you coming by?
diya: why?
sid: evil grin - i have a better plan. am going to come by that train too. ill get to meet you on the train. it will anyway take 1-2 days for it to reach chennai right?
diya: (feigning ignorance) -yeahhhh...so?
sid: you do realise it's gonna be just us?
diya: ahaan. so? :P
sid: ur gonna be kissed madamoiselle.
diya: (blushes) so are you kind sir!
sid: can i hug?
diya: u dont ask that mister! a GUY does, doesnt ask.
sid: yeah? you know what other things a guy would love to do? :P
diya: oh you are soooo dead loverboy! :)

sid: i miss you diya (kisses on the phone)
diya: mmm i see
sid: diya? (kisses)
diya: (ignores the kiss)yes sid?
sid: come back to me baby
diya: sid.... (cries on the phone)
sid: yes love? ( breaks up)
diya : i gtg (hangs up)
